Day 5 - Cross Country Skiing, Sledging and Igloo Building & Ice Skating

This blog is a little late being delivered as we have just completed two very long activity days with not a moment to sit and write.

Today was a roll reversal of day three so that the other half could enjoy the pleasures of Cross Country Skiing. It was also the first blue sky day and views could not be more fantastic of the surrounding mountains.

Everyone adapted really quickly to the Cross Country Skiing and several kilometres were covered with sunbathing breaks added.

Heroes of the day were Tom Wilson and Will Gould who came to the assistance of a pensioner who took a bad fall on a downhill S-bend and cut his head open.

The Richard Scout Award
Todays contenders number five in all, anyone would think they are all trying to win this very dubious award. However, for losing his lift pass and getting stuck the wrong side of a barrier on the top of a mountain, todays Richard Scout Award went to Dan Hodges.

During the evening after a rushed dinner we hiked into town (again) for an evening of ice skating.

Most of the story is in the pictures below;
